It is 1813 and with better planning and stronger forces than in our history, the Americans are sweeping through Canada. The invaders are not only seeking territory but also revenge on the Loyalists who fought against American independence 30 years earlier. The Loyalist Hartwoods and Jarvises are caught up in the invasion, either fleeing to the wilderness or taken to be slaves or indentured labour in Kentucky.
